In the fall of 2011 Philadelphia Theatre of the Oppressed hosted a number of events at Studio 34, 4522 Baltimore Avenue in West Philly (right on the #34 Trolley line):

Games for Actors & Non-Actors (Mondays October 10, 17 & 24 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.): 3 classes packed with fun where we'll play theatre games to use as an everyday tool for teachers, organizers, artists, actors or anyone who works with groups. Drop-in donation: $5-$10 per class.
Playing the Cop in the Head (Friday October 14 at 7:30 p.m.): Come watch and/or participate in an interactive performance for disarming the scariest of oppressors—those that live inside of us. Free event, donations welcome.
The Rainbow of Desire (Mondays November 7 through December 19, 7:30-9:30 p.m.) In this transformative 7-part workshop we'll unpack our relationships in all their complexities, deal with our desires onstage to determine which we like and what we can do without, and turn theatre into a rehearsal for reality. Series tuition: $55-$155, sliding scale—no one turned away for lack of funds.

To pre-register for these sessions, email "tophilly@gmail.com" or call 215-730-0982. More details coming soon.

Coming in 2012: Forum Theatre workshop series and performance, plus a Theatre of the Oppressed facilitator training.
