The Attic Youth Center presents its Rainbow Expo, an event showcasing the work of Philadelphia's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth, hosted by the William Way Center at 13th and Spruce Streets.

From 5:00 till 7:00, visitors can enjoy snacks, short presentations and displays created by teens working in the fields of silkscreen poster design, videography, and social justice theater, as well as their involvement in Philly's wider LGBTQ communities.

At 7:00 p.m., Serious Drama—the Attic's Forum Theater troupe—will present three short plays dealing with the struggles that LGBTQ youth face today: homophobia, assigned gender roles, harassment at school, violence on the street, and living on "the down-low." After the plays, the audience can engage in the Forum by stepping into the shoes of the actors and trying to change their characters' situations.

Admission to the Rainbow Expo is free. For more information, call the Attic at 215-545-4331.
